Many architects use 3D CAD software and programs like 3DS Max or MAYA, while Marvelous Designer adds the natural look for fabric draping on hard surface items and for drapery in general, such as curtains.
Such interior design objects created in Marvelous Designer can be animated when used for film and Virtual Reality and VFX.
You can create many items in Marvelous Designer if you don’t have or cannot use MAYA and 3Ds Max or C4D etc., and actually you make the entire bed in MD if you need to. You can make bean bags, tents, flags blowing in the wind, sacks, table clothes and many more interior items in the Marvelous Designer software.
